Who makes the tastiest sand tarts? Seamaidens do, of course!
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
2 cups sifted cake flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and confectioner's sugar with an electric mixer.
Beat in flour, pecans, vanilla and salt.
Roll dough into balls or cresents.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
Let cool a bit before removing from cookie sheet.
Makes about a dozen large cookies.
