Chicken Burgers

The Seamaster and Seamaiden have been running around this week doing our finest impressions of decapitated chickens. That inevitably means that dinners have to be yummy but painless to prepare. These chicken burgers fit the "yummy but painless" bill so nicely, you will begin to suspect that you have been secretly injected with morphine!

Ingredients
1 lb. boneless chicken breasts
1 small onion, chopped
1 1/2 tbsp. capers
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions
Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until the chicken is ground.
Make 4 patties and grill on each side until done.
Serve on whole wheat rolls with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise with olive oil and Dijon mustard.

Princess for a Day at Tea by Two

The Seamaiden recently enjoyed a grand afternoon of high tea and hot gossip (well, just catching up anyway) at Tea by Two with one of my best gal pals. Which tea did I imbibe? Princess Catherine, of course! Now I know this tea is not really named after me. I am certainly not a princess. I'm a divine, bodacious Seamaiden!

Stop by Tea by Two and take home a little 2 ounce bag of relaxation today. The tea menu is as vast as it is flavorful and tantalizing!
Tea by Two is located at 814 S. Main Street in Bel Air, Maryland.

Pick Up Your March/April Edition of Harford's Heart Today!

The March/April issue of Harford's Heart is on the streets now! Love, love, love the cover art, Mushroom Under Spruce Tree, by local painter Doug Pokyfka. Other highlights include natural dyes for Easter eggs and spring cleaning your pet. And don't miss the great stuffed artichokes and strawberry-orange muffins recipes on page 67.

My contributions include "The Consignment Boutique Experience" on page 20, the center spread, "Harford County Goes Green: Keeping It Local for St. Patrick's Day," and "Wargo's: A Business and a Love Built to Last" on page 49.

If you can't pick up an issue at our many distributors in Harford County, read all about it here in our digital edition.

A Seamaiden Indulges Her Sweet Tooth

Yes, it's true! The Seamaiden has a sweet tooth just like the average mere mortal! And I will be indulging in a major way at the 11th Annual Chocolate and Candy Festival in my hometown of Bel Air this weekend. This year's festivities include a downright hedonistic array of sweets from local merchants like Flavor Cupcakery, Broom's Bloom Dairy, Bel Air Bakery, Dove Chocolate Discovery and also Mary Sue Candies from Baltimore. Ticket are a mere $5 per person, including 4 free sample tickets. Childen under 6 years are admitted free and receive 2 free sample tickets.

The 11th Annual Chocolate and Candy Festival will be held on Saturday, March 3 at the Bel Air Armory from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Click here for more details.

A Seamaiden's Slippers

Cinderella has nothing on the seamaiden who wears these slippers to the ball! I created these little charmers out of a pair of plain pumps and an assortment of seashells and glass pebbles. No fairy godmother required. Be on the lookout for more "shoeshell" art from the Seamaiden.
